Hong Kong's roadworks have become so bad that the work they leave behind is generally worse than the road they tried to work on in the first place. Only an hour ago did the family car hit a bump so high, we finally managed to scrape the nose along some new and carelessly placed tarmac.
In fact, it's so bumpy and horrid that I get jiggled around even when riding in something smooth like an E-Class. It really shouldn't be like this - five years ago it wasn't like this. I'm used to travelling on potholed country roads, but for a city, it's appalling. The constant lurching and slow jolts at urban speeds is becoming unbearable.
